How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person but people often have between 8 and 10 sessions. Some people choose to have “open-ended” therapy which, as its name suggests, goes on for an unspecified number of months or even years.  Part of the process of counselling is for the counsellor and client to speak openly about the counselling itself; how helpful it is and whether it is heading in the right direction.

There is never any obligation to attend a set number of sessions and clients are always free to choose when to end therapy.
