How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person but people often have between 8 and 10 sessions. Some people choose to have “open-ended” therapy which, as its name suggests, goes on for an unspecified number of months or even years. However, most people come to counselling needing to address a particular situation and usually find that after a couple of months of therapy they are able to work things out independently.

There is never any obligation to attend a set number of sessions and clients are always free to choose when to end therapy.
